Lightly grease a muffin tin or use silicone liners
Add eggs, cottage cheese, salt, and pepper into a blender
Blend until smooth and creamy with no visible curds
Pour the mixture into a bowl if needed
Stir in shredded cheese and garlic powder
Add cooked bacon or your preferred protein mix-ins
Mix gently to evenly distribute ingredients
Pour the mixture into muffin cups, filling about 3/4 full
Sprinkle fresh herbs on top for added flavor
Place the tray in the oven
Bake for 20–25 minutes until the centers are set and tops are lightly golden
Insert a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean
Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes
Carefully remove egg bites from the pan
Serve warm or allow to cool completely for storage
Optional: refrigerate before serving for a firmer texture
Reheat in microwave for 20–30 seconds when ready to eat
