  • | Almond flour | 60 g ½ cup |
  • | Unsalted butter softened | 2 tablespoons |
  • | Large egg | 1 |
  • | Garlic powder | ¼ teaspoon |
  • | Salt | ¼ teaspoon |

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheddar cheese, almond flour, softened butter, garlic powder, and salt. Add the egg and mix until a soft dough forms. The dough should be slightly firm but pliable. If it feels too sticky, chill briefly. Proper mixing ensures even cheese distribution and consistent cracker texture.
  2. Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it very thin using a rolling pin. Thin dough is crucial for achieving crisp crackers. Remove the top parchment layer and cut the dough into small squares using a knife or pizza cutter. Uniform sizing helps ensure even cooking.
  3. For the oven method, transfer the parchment sheet with cut dough onto a baking tray and bake at moderate temperature until the crackers turn golden and crisp. For the air fryer method, carefully place small portions of cut dough into the basket and cook until crisp. Avoid overcrowding to maintain airflow and even browning.
  4. Allow crackers to cool completely before serving. Cooling is essential because the crackers continue to firm up and develop their signature crunch. Once cooled, they can be enjoyed immediately or stored for later snacking.
